Typically, the length of the therapeutic hour is 45 to 53 minutes.
The frequency of therapy sessions can vary based on individual needs and goals. Some people benefit from weekly sessions, while others may meet bi-weekly or monthly. Your therapist will work with you to determine a schedule that best supports your progress.
The duration of your therapy services will be based upon your individual needs and goals. Your therapist will work with you on an ongoing basis to determine duration of treatment.
After you submit an appiontment request (or if you contact via phone or email), Jennifer will reach out by phone, text, or email within 1-2 business days. Requests submitted on weekends will be addressed on the next business day.
After your appointment is scheduled, you will receive an email invitation to the Secure Client Portal to complete required Intake/Consent forms (please be sure to check your Spam folder if you don't receive the email invitation).
All intake/consent forms must be completed at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. If forms are not completed in time, your appiontment will be automatically cancelled and will be reschdeuled once all information is completed.
During your first session, you'll discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, your personal history, and your goals for treatment. This helps the therapist understand your situation and tailor her approach to best support you. It's also an opportunity for you to ask any questions and get to know your therapist.
Jennifer does not prescribe medications, but instead provides talk therapy and counseling services. If during the course of your treatment you believe medication would be beneficial, Jennifer can provide referrals and can collaborate with your prescriber.
If you're experiencing a mental health emergency, such as a crisis or immediate threat to your safety, please contact emergency services, attend to the nearest emergency room, or text/call 988 for the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.
